Here is a straightforward and honest response to you Draconian. The problem with your general position is that it requires/expects everyone to jump into bed with the ôwe hate BoB / BoB are the devilö ideology of recent months since the close of the Great Northern War. Now sure, everyone can understand how it hurt a bit to have your alliance jumped on as badly as the GNW jumped on you, but the reality of the situation is that you guys did pretty much ask for it.
Its all very well just falling back on the ôBoB=Enemies foreverö stance and hoping people forget the reasons for the GNW and why Reikoku and friends came to oust CDI and Oberon from your alliance, but there are lots of people in the north who well understand that there was valid cause for war back then.
Take Jericho FractionÆs role in this Draconian, we were VA, then NVA, then betrayed by the PA corps, then made peace again, then saw PA betray reikoku, then sided with NCA etc etc. There is history there and Reikoku and Evolution and Black Nova and those guys never backstabbed us even once. Hence your diplomats were always on a sticky wicket to insist we should change our standings to make ceasefire with the new version of the PA that followed the GNW. We were happy to talk terms and ceasefire and make friends with Cochise as the PA executor when the war was over, but we were never going to just jump into bed with the hardliners in the PA for whom the war was "never going to be over".
It does seem pretty clear that you really had no intention of letting Xelas be fully independent in the first place since you were dictating their foreign policy standings. And you knew that Cochise was trying to put the GNW hostilities to bed even when he was running the PA so it canÆt have been a surprise to you. I'm wondering if you just gave Tenal to Xelas to prevent a civil war in the PA anyhow?
This does all go back to what Cochise posted earlier in this thread and its about true leaders having the courage to admit things change and situations evolve. The GNW was done, the villains had been punished, Halseth was exiled, CDI was driven out etc etc. Blood had been shed and the story was told.
Its only people who perpetually live in the past are doomed to repeat it and thatÆs the pattern that seems to be coming from the current PA.
Now I'm guessing my post will anger some of you guys again but really why not try to understand what I said and debate in a constructive manner. Respect me and I'll respect you and regardless of the fighting in space there is no reason we can't talk intelligently between bouts of ultraviolence
